Once again I am speechless. What should have been a day of national celebration has been turned into a tragedy. Scores of people are mourning loved ones, and many more have been traumatised by the events in Nice. My sympathies and prayers go to all those who have been affected by this senseless act of terrorism.
I am lost for words – this cruel world continues to shock us all.

Such a senseless tragedy. I am heartbroken. Blessings and hopes of peace to Nice, and to all of us.

Though it increasingly looks like the Nice driver was more like the guy who shot up a movie theater in Colorado–a wacko rather than a determined terrorist–that doesn’t change the pain.

Any person who targets or endangers civilians in public places to achieve his/her goals is a terrorist. It doesn’t matter if the person in question has mental problems. Most of people have such problems, and it is not an excuse. This man had enough mental facilities to have a goal, plan the attack, and execute his plans. The governments fail to protect their citizens.
